Traveling Lite: Healthy Snack Pack Ideas for Children

Posted on: June 24, 2017 by Healthy Lives No Comments

School’s out, sun’s out! It’s vacation time! Many of us are finalizing plans for a family getaway. Planning healthy snacks to have in-transit can be a lifesaver. Stuck in the car or on a plane with a hangry child can intensify stressful travel. To avoid prolonging travel by making extra stops, and spending a bundle on junk food, try these ideas for easy, healthy, inexpensive snacks!

PACKING TIPS:

Look for sectioned containers. Provide each passenger with a small plastic basket or container with individually bagged items. Avoid bringing peanut products for air travel in case of peanut restrictions. Avoid easily smashed fruit like berries, bananas, peaches, etc. Don’t forget wet wipes, plastic baggies, and extra grocery bags.
