Posted on: October 26, 2017 by Healthy Lives No Comments

You are not alone. You belong to a nationwide community of survivors and others battling cancer that can offer social support for you and your loved ones. Here are four social support organizations that offer a variety of support programs for men and women living with cancer, survivors, and co-survivors:

  1. Camp Kesem offers summer camps for children with parents who have or have had cancer. In 2016, Camp Kesem served 6,000+ children. Visit www.campkesem.org for more information.
  2. My Cancer Circle provides an online tool for co-survivors to coordinate support activities like preparing meals and giving rides to treatment. Visit www.mycancercircle.net for more information.
  3. Young Survival Coalition offers support programs (online and telephone) for young breast cancer survivors and a resource kit for young women newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Visit www.youngsurvival.org for more info.
  4. Men Against Breast Cancer offers online support for those men who are caretakers of women with breast cancer. Visit www.menagainstbreastcancer.org/ for more information.
