Improve Your Health IQ – Questions to Ask Your PCP

Posted on: February 10, 2017 by Healthy Lives No Comments

After your Healthy Lives screening, you should have received a detailed health assessment that went over all the results from your screening. This is the perfect opportunity to take your information to your primary care provider to discuss the findings and establish a regular relationship.
Here are some key things to discuss:

  1. Is my BMI, blood pressure, total cholesterol and glucose in a healthy range?
  2. If not, what steps do I need to take to improve my health?
  3. Is it time for an age appropriate screening, such as a mammogram or colonoscopy?

Don’t forget to bring a list of all your medications or any herbs or supplements that you are taking. Note the dosage of each so your PCP can keep this on file.
