Heart disease is the leading cause of death in both men and women. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the most common type of heart disease in the United States is coronary artery disease, which affects the blood flow to the heart. Decreased blood flow can cause a heart attack.
The good news is that there are things you can do to reduce your risk of developing heart disease.
  • Don’t smoke
  • Maintain a healthy cholesterol
  • Lower high blood pressure
  • Maintain proper body weight
  • Move your body!
