Snacks are a great way to keep the hunger monster at bay, but it’s easy to let snacks overtake healthy meals. And parents can often spend more money than necessary on prepackaged snacks. You can find the right balance.
Here’s your snack plan to help get you started:

Monday
1 string cheese wrapped with a turkey slice
One serving size of pretzels (usually 10-12)
Tuesday
Greek yogurt swirled with peanut butter
Banana
Wednesday
2 Slices of turkey in whole wheat wrap
Apple
Thursday
Whole wheat tortilla spread with peanut butter and rolled up with banana slices
One serving size of pretzels (usually 10-12)
Friday
Apple
1 String cheese wrapped with a turkey slice

Try keeping items on hand and ready-to-go by prewashing and cutting foods up ahead of time.
